Vegetable rasam with steamed rice

Dear diet.....
Today's recipe is.... Vegetable rasam with steamed rice

Ingredients:

5 cups of water
2 tsp (each) split Bengal gram,coriander ,red chili,cumin ,black pepper ,garlic (optional),mustard seeds ,fenugreek, asafoetida
6 to 7  sweet neem leaves
1 tbsp of oil
1 bowl tomatoes, potatoes, drum stick  (chopped)
2 tsp turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder
1 tbsp of tamarind paste ( soak tamarind in hot water then blend it)
Salt to taste
1 bowl of steamed rice

Procedure:

For Rasam powder

Roast split Bengal gram, coriander, red chili, cumin, black pepper, garlic (optional),mustard seeds ,fenugreek  for 5 minutes.

Let it be cool. Then make fine powder of it using blender.

Take pan add oil. Add mustard seeds ,asafoetida ,neem leaves ,fenugreek ,add tomatoes stir it for 2 min.

Add drum sticks, potatoes, rasam powder,turmeric powder ,cumin powder ,coriander powder,tamarind paste,salt.

2 whistle in cooker if vegetables are added or else boil it for 5 minutes.rasam is ready.

Servings:

Serve it with  steamed rice 🍙
