Today's recipe is.... Tricolour dhokla
Ingredients:
1 bowl of rice
0.5 bowl of split Bengal gram
0.25 bowl of split black gram
0.5 bowl of curd
2 tbs of green chili, ginger, garlic paste
1 tbs of coriander, mustard seeds, sesame seeds
1 tsp fruit salt
2 cups of chopped tomatoes
1 tsp chilli powder
Salt to taste
Procedure:
For red chatni
Take oil into a pan add 1 tsp of garlic paste then add tomatoes, salt, stir it until tomatoes get cooked add some water if required. Add chili powder.let it cook. Then with the help of food processor make fine paste. Red Chatni is ready.
For green chatni
Make fine paste of coriabder, green chili , ginger and salt with the help of food processor. Green Chatni is ready
Soak rice, slip Bengal gram and black gram over night or for 5 to 6 hours. Then make fine paste of it using food processor. Add curd,salt and garlic,ginger chili paste in it. Put it aside for at least 1 hour with lid on the container. The batter is ready.
Take water in to dhokla machine. Greece the container with oil add the batter in it. As soon as it started convert in to hard consistency from liquid apply green chatani layer. Then pour the batter the same way apply red Chatni and then batter. Check for the dhokla after 10 to 15 min. It is ready now
Serving:
Cut the dhokla into squre pieces. Take a pan add 3 tbs of oil add mustard seeds as it starts to pop add sesame seeds. Switch of the gas.pour this oil on dhokla and serve it with green chatni,garnish it with coriander.
