Ingredients:
3 bowl of Rice
1/2 bowl of split black gram ( urad dal)
1 bowl of split Bengal gram ( boiled)
1/2 bowl of onion ( chopped)
1/4 bowl of coconut( gretted)
1 tbsp of cumin seeds, coriander seeds, curry leaves, fenugreek, split Bengal gram, garlic, mustard seeds
1 to 2 whole red chilli, 4 to 5 black pepper
2 tbsp of garlic paste, coriander ( chopped), lemon juice
1 bowl of vegetables like drum stick, onion, tomatoes,potatoes ( chopped)
1 tbsp of turmeric powder, coriander cumin powder
1 tbsp of fruit salt
Salt to taste
Oil
Procedure:
For batter
Soak rice, black gram in water over night.
Using grinder blend above ingredients and make smooth better. Add water to make it thin. Put it aside for 1 hour.then Add 2 to 3 tbsp of curd, fruit salt and salt in it. Batter is ready.
For sambhar masala
Take a pan add oil in it. Add mustard seeds as it start to pop add cumin seeds, whole red chilli, fenugreek, garlic, curry leaves, split Bengal gram,dry coconut.
As all get roasted. Put it aside. And as it cool down hiring it to make fine powder.
Take boiled split Bengal gram add 3 cups of water in it. Add turmeric powder, coriander cumin powder, 2 tbsp sambhar Masala.
For sambhar
Take a pan add oil in it add mustard seeds, curry leaves add onion and tomatoes in it now add this in to boiled split bengal gram, add water then Add drum stick, onion,tomato, green chili,potato in it. Add above sambhar masala in it. Cook it till all vegetables get cooked.
Add lemon juice, salt and coriander.add red chilli powder if required.sambhar is ready.
For red chatni
Take garlic paste, red chilli powder, 2 tsp Sambhar Masala,fresh coconut, some water,salt, lemon juice And make smooth paste of it using food processor.
For mint chatni
In food processor take coconut, mint leaves, coriander, green chillies, salt, some water and make fine paste from it. Add 2 tbsp of curd in it. Mint chatni is ready.
For onion tomato mixture
Take a bowl add chopped onion ,tomato, green chilli, coriander, salt in it. Mix it well.
Take non stick. Spread better ,Spread above onion tomato mixture. Cook it from both the sides.
Servings:
Serve it with Sambhar and red
chatni.
